The Royal Thai Air Force recently celebrated the milestone of 10,000 flight hours, accumulated across its fleet of Airbus Helicopters H225M multirole utility helicopters.

The RTAF operates a fleet of 12 H-225Ms, the first of which was delivered in 2015, following a 2012 order. The helicopters are used for Combat Search And Rescue (CSAR), Search And Rescue (SAR) flights and troop transport missions. Some of the helicopters are equipped with emergency flotation gear, fast roping, cargo sling, search light and electro-optical systems.

The 11-ton-category twin-turbine H225M, was previously known as the EC725. The RTAF also undertakes pilot training missions on its H-135 light-twin helicopters, while the Royal Thai Navy operates the H-145M for transport missions.
