Airbus has delivered the first of 2 Airbus A400Ms on order to the Kazakhstan Air Force. Images of the newly inducted aircraft were posted by the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The A-400M will be the cornerstone of Kazakhstan’s tactical and strategic airlifting operations. The Republic of Kazakhstan had ordered A400Ms in September 2021 and Airbus has delivered the first aircraft as scheduled this year. The delivery of the second aircraft is likely to take place in 2026. Under the terms of the contract, Airbus is also providing a complete suite of maintenance and training support.
The A-400M will be used by the Kazakhstan Air Force for military, civil and humanitarian missions, with the aircraft brining the capability to quickly respond to any mission, over long distances and with effective access to remote areas.
Kazakhstan is the ninth operator of the four-engine transport aircraft together with Germany, France, United Kingdom, Spain, Turkey, Belgium, Malaysia and Luxembourg.
