Saab delivers the fourth GLOBALEYE to UAE 02/05/2024 | Georges France

On April 18, Saab delivered the 4th GLOBALEYE Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) radar warning aircraft to the United Arab Emirates. The aircraft is based on the Global 6000/6500 business jet airframe and is equipped with the Ericsson PS-890 ERIEYE ER radar, which offers a detection capability of airborne and surface targets, both on land and at sea, up to a range of about 450-640 km. The GLOBALEYE has a mission time of 11 hours, two more than its predecessor, the Saab 2000 ERIEYE AEW&C. The UAE has ordered a total of five aircraft from Saab, the last of which will be delivered by the beginning of 2025.
