Teledyne FLIR Defense Announces New SUGV 325 Portable, Modular Robot 17/06/2024 | Teledyne FLIR

PARIS, 17 June 2024 - Teledyne FLIR Defense, part of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE:TDY), today announced at Eurosatory the official launch of its new SUGV™ 325 portable and modular robot.

The SUGV 325 is a one-person transportable unmanned ground platform that offers a versatile solution for dismounted and mobile operations. In its lightest configuration, the robust SUGV 325 weighs only 9.1 kg, making it easy to transport and capable of traversing rough terrain and climbing stairs. The robot's advanced manipulator arm features five degrees of freedom, allowing users to perform very delicate and complex tasks. The updated technology includes a range of sensors, such as visible HD, long-wave infrared (LWIR) and 360-degree cameras, as well as a 30x optical zoom and two-way audio communication.

 

The SUGV 325's new features and capabilities make it ideal for military applications such as surveillance and reconnaissance, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and remote inspection of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) substances, among others. "Our new SUGV 325 offers enhanced portability and technology that facilitates a wide range of operations for our warfighters," said Tung Ng, vice president of Unmanned Systems North America at Teledyne FLIR Defense. "With its superior mobility and situational awareness, this multi-mission robot offers users a highly mobile system to keep them out of harm's way when interrogating threats. Key features of the SUGV 325 include:

Enhanced mobility: With its enhanced portability and speed of up to 11.3 km/h, the SUGV 325 can be deployed quickly, allowing operators to quickly interrogate a device or target.

Expandable: The open payload architecture, compliant with the IOP standard, allows a wide range of payloads and accessories to be accommodated, allowing operators to configure the robot to suit their mission.

Multi-robot control: The uPoint® multi-robot control system features a tablet with touchscreen control and a hand controller. It fits various sizes of Android tablets and is compatible with Nett Warrior and ATAK.

Robust and durable: Connects to the Wave Relay® MANET to form a robust network; can lift up to 9.1 kg; on-board battery runs for up to eight hours.
