India launches Operation SINDOOR against Pakistan 07/05/2025 | Mike Rajkumar

As anticipated by FW MAG, the situation is heating up between India and Pakistan. India’s Ministry of Defence (MoD) announced early on Wednesday morning, that the nation’s armed forces carried out a targeted attack, hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed. A total of 9 sites were targeted.

Pakistan's military confirmed the strikes stating that India fired missiles at three separate locations in Pakistan, including areas in Pakistan-controlled Kashmir.

“Our actions have been focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature. No Pakistani military facilities have been targeted. India has demonstrated considerable restraint in selection of targets and method of execution,” the Indian MoD spokesperson said.

Named ‘Operation SINDOOR’, the precision strikes are in response to a terror attack that claimed the lives of 25 Indian civilians and 1 Nepali last week in Pahalgam, Kashmir. Both nations have a long-standing dispute over Kashmir.

Indian media outlets quoting unnamed sources said the strikes targeted top Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar leadership for their role in sponsoring terrorist activities in India.

India’s MoD bas stated that it will provide a detailed briefing on the military operation later today.
