IDV (Iveco Defence Vehicles) has signed a contract with Brazil to supply 420 LMV-BR 2 (Light Multirole Vehicle) 4x4 armoured vehicles to the Army. Deliveries of the first vehicles are scheduled to start in 2026 and will last for 10 years.

These 420 LMV-BR 2, known locally as GUAICURUS, will be added to the 32 vehicles already supplied. Previously, IDV had been manufacturing more than 700 GUARANI' 6x6 armoured amphibious vehicles for Brazil.

The LMV-BR 2 of this batch will be produced in 2 different variants: one equipped with a protected machine gun mount and one equipped with a remote turret (RCWS). All vehicles will feature a locally manufactured command and control system (C2) and will be produced at the IDV production plant in Sete Lagoas (MG).
