In a press release issued this morning, Rheinmetall announced the delivery to Ukraine of 5 KF-41 LYNX infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs), in execution of a contract reportedly signed last December.
The value of the order for the first 5 vehicles is estimated at several tens of millions of euros and will be fully financed by Germany.
The IFVs will be equipped with the two-man LANCE turret and specifically configured for the Ukrainian Army. The vehicles in question are expected to be delivered to Kyiv’s forces in the coming months.
The statement also notes that, under the framework of this contract, additional batches are envisaged, with the future possibility of transferring part of the production directly to Ukraine.
